Andrew Pollins is currently Chief Financial Officer for ENGIE UK & Ireland, having joined the organisation in early 2020.
Andrew previously worked at Transport for London as the Finance Director of London Underground from 2010-2016 and during that time expanded his role to cover TfL’s other rail operations, including London Overground, Docklands Light Railway and London Tramlink. Andrew oversaw the financial management of some of the largest capital programmes in the country as well as the operations of London’s Underground network. From April to July 2016 Andrew successfully covered the role of MD London Underground and London Rail for an interim basis pending the arrival of the appointed incoming MD. Following this role Andrew was appointed to the TfL Executive Committee and was responsible for directing and coordinating the very successful TfL wide Transformation Programme.
Andrew was often involved in non-Finance activities. He led the very successful TfL Travel Ambassador programme during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and sponsored the Front Line experience scheme which sent all senior managers back to the front line to encourage improved leadership and engagement. He has also been a Pension Trustee for the TfL Pension Fund.
With over 20 years Private Sector experience, Andrew was the CFO at National Car Parks. He also worked for 15 years at Whitbread Plc and Marriott in a number of financial and operational roles. He started his career as an operational graduate but made the transition into Finance in the early 1990s.
