Welcome to Richard Morris and Paul Read in strengthening the Olympic security programme in the Met. I am also pleased to confirm the permanent appointment of Chris Jones as head of the Olympic Protect programme and Ben Fletcher as head of the Olympic Engage programme. Both have been acting as interim heads in tandem with their existing roles, and there will still be a period of parallel running for them whilst successor arrangements are made. Interviews are still to be completed for the posts as head of the other three programmes: Prepare Identify and Disrupt; and CommandControlPlan and Resource.

Director of Olympic Security
