Police authorities may wish to note that applications for the Police National Assessment Centre (PNAC) Assistant Co-Director close on Monday 16 March.

[2] MISCONDUCT TRAINING

 

A date has now been set for a repeat of the APA training on Police Misconduct mentioned in last weeks APA News.  The training will take place on Friday 24 April at the APA offices, 15 Greycoat Place.

[3] LORD LAMING REPORT INTO CHILD PROTECTION

 

Lord Laming's report of progress in safeguarding and child protection was published on Thursday 12 March. Lord Laming has been asked to evaluate progress since the publication of the Victoria Climbie inquiry, to identify barriers preventing good practice becoming standard practice and to make recommendations for improvement. The report also subsumed the national stocktake of Local Safeguarding Children's Boards and the study of Serious Case Reviews.
