Andrew Figgures
Chief Executive
Andrew Figgures CB CBE joined BTPA in March 2010 following a distinguished career with the Ministry of Defence that included service in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iraq. In June 2006 he became Deputy Chief of Defence Staff with responsibility for Capability, an appointment which saw him assume the rank of Lieutenant General.

Liz Pike
Finance Director
Liz Pike was appointed Treasurer on the formation of the Authority. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1987. She spent ten years in various roles with in Granada Group, with her final role being Group Financial Controller where she was heavily involved in successful acquisition of Forte Hotels. In 1998 she moved to National Express Group initially as Finance Director for Silverlink Trains, Director of Corporate Finance at Group and finally as Commercial Director for the Groups’ Trains Division when the PRISM Group of companies were taken over. In 2003 she decided to take a career break before joining the Authority in 2004 in a part time role as Treasurer.
In October 2010, as part of the restructuring of the BTPA Executive, Liz became Finance Director to the Police Authority on a full-time basis.
